Why don't he talk to me..
How many times have you heard someone say
the Lord sent a message to them today
he told them to do this,he told them to do that
from flying jets to buying hats.
I'm not saying they're right or wrong
if the Lord says sing, I'll sing a song
I'd know somehow it was meant to be
but why oh why don't he talk to me.
I ask for guidance and guidance does come
I ask to walk and I almost run
I ask for answers about things I see
but I can't understand why he won't talk to me.
When my children are sick I say Oh dear lord
they seem to get better and I know I've scored
all these things I'm pleased to see
but why won't he speak to me.
I pray a prayer, an answer soon comes
I ask to hear thunder and he gives me drums
when I think about the wonders I see
I know all the time he has spoken to me.
