The Accident on Labor Day Weekend
I was standing at the fair
when I heard the Announcer call a name
it was a mother of a sixteen year old girl
Her life would never be the same.
She answered the phone with a smile
till the caller said his name
Your Daughter had been in a accident
and a drunk driver is to blame.
Tears came down her face
as the Policeman said her Daughters name
we need you to come to the hospital
we need you right away.
So She got into her car
and fastly drove away
worried about her Daughter
would she be alive or dead when she got there today?
She arrived at the hospital doors
and quickly entered in
She ask the front desk nurse
Where's my Daughter what room is she in?
The nurse called for the doctor
She couldn't say a word
The mother started crying
Where's my Daughter I need to know?
The Doctor came down
To tell her the bad news
Your Daughter is in a coma
there's nothing we can do.
This happened Labor day weekend
This accident could have be stopped
If the Drunk Driver in the the other car
would have let the other driver, drive him home that day.
The girl hung on for a while
She gave it a fight
But she finally let go
that labor day weekend night.
