Recipe for a Father..
Take a little bit of stubbornness
a little bit of stern
a double dash of faithfulness
a half a cup of firm.
A pinch or two of playfulness
3/4 a cup of smiles
a drop of well earned sweat and blood
and mix them for a while.
Put in a spoon of temperament
a grain or two of help
add a tablespoon of salt
for all the tears he's wept.
Mix it together "good"
It's really worth the bother
top it with a can of love
and you have got a father.
