My Son Scottie
As I was watching T.V. one day
and letting life go by
I looked in my sons bedroom
and gazed into his eyes.

He did not see me looking
he was staring through the glass
I wonder what  he was thinking
as he looked upon the grass.

Through his eyes I saw his heart
and all the love inside
I thank the Lord in heaven
as his eyes were open wide.

He sees a world of mischief
outside that window pane
grasshoppers big as coaltrucks
bees with airplane wing's.

Butterflies with fiery eyes
birds with beaks of steel
His imagination could rule his life
but I don't think it will.

I love that little boy
and I know he loves me
God has gave me lots of things
how lucky can you be.
