When you're laid up in bed, in McDowell Hospital
and you feel like you've lost your best Freind
the ladies in the shadows, the ARH Auxiliary
stop by to make amends.
They bring you little things like flowers
just to show they care
They buy things for the hospital
to comfort you while you're there.
All they ask for their effort
all they ask for their time.
is to see a smile on someone's lips
or a little peace of mind.
They could be somewhere else, you know
doing other things
so thank them if you find the time
for all the joys they bring.
So if you get some pretty flowers
and you think of fresh green meadows
smile for the ARH Ladies Auxiliary
