Heaven's just a prayer away.
How far is heaven, a little boy ask
with his eyes all full of wonder
his daddy answered with pointing fingers
heavens way out yonder.
He didn't know just what to say
so he answered without thought
he didn't have no explanation
as off guard he was caught.
Well how can I get there the little boy said
I really want to know
you always say mom's up there
and that's where I want to go.
The Dad with eyes all full of tears
knew not what to say
with trembling voice he answered
Heavens just a prayer away.
