" Mom"
Although she is gone
and under the ground
it seems  as if 'mom'
is always around.

I always feel her presence
I always feel her love
but I know she's with Jesus
in heaven up above.

Why she had to suffer
I cannot understand
when Jesus has a purpose
it's out of peoples hands.

It hurt so bad to lose her
I miss her everyday
I think of things she used to do
and funny things she use to say.

I know she will be waiting
if I make it to those gates
of that place that is so lovely
that the devil hates.

I know she will be smiling
that little sneaking smile
saying "well I beat you up here
by a country mile".

I won't ever see no sadness
again upon her face
She'll never wear no hand me downs
always silk or lace.

She'll never eat those beans again
although she loved them so
so if my mom's in heaven
that's where I want to go.

I want to spend eternity
with her right by my side
in that land of plenty
where the pure at heart abides.

Where the rose is always blooming
and there's joy in the air
no one will deceive another
no hurt will be up there.

So mom reserve a place
for me upon high
I'll try my best to be with you
in the sweet by and by.
