I know you've heard the little rhymes
they write on valentines
like You are my sweetheart
and Valentine be mine.
Those little rhymes are special
they seem to say so much
they bring a smile to faces
of those down on their luck.
They even warm up cold hearts
and make the love lights shine
they seem to make you younger
turn back the hands of time.
The cards with all their colors
the pictures bright and clear
seem to bring you closer
to those you hold so dear.
You put them in an envelope
and put on someone's name
you hope that you are lucky
that they will do the same.
So when you read those little rhymes
like valentine be mine
look around and find someone
and be their valentine..
