The Lullaby
We were sent from above,
to be in our mommy's arms full of love.
But the baby's awake all alone,
while dad makes deals on the phone.
Trash lying on the ground,
look through the door but there's no sound.
Baby's crying and dad's awake,
his wife's lying still even after a shake.
Pills spilled on the floor,
her body just couldn't take it anymore.
What happen to life
now he has a baby without a wife!
without thinking he grabs a knife.
But before he thought it through,
what was he supposed to do.
His baby looks into his eyes,
finally dad starts to hear it's cries.
What am I doing he thought,
He felt he had been hit in the head with a rock.
As numb as he felt he had began to cry,
and sung the baby a lullaby.
Afraid to call the cops he did anyway,
he was always trying to find the easy way.
He was out of his mind yet he opened his heart,
he knew he and his baby could never be apart.
So scared and alone while he runs away,
Still singing the baby a lullaby that day.
