I stopped at a nursing home one day
to talk to the patients there
when a little old lady stopped me
and ask me could I stay.
Stay a little while
I need to talk to someone
no one ever comes to visit me
as she looked at me and smiled.
I get lonely here
no family stopping by
it seems no one cares for me
as her eyes filled with tears
I don't want anyone feeling sorry for me
The little lady said
Just someone to talk to
to help me clear my head.
We set for hours talking
visiting hours had come and gone
then I thought about my mom
what if it was her there all alone
When you have some time to spare
and want some place to go
stop by a nursing home
and show someone you care
