Just Me
Standing outside the darkness
But also somehow in
I don't know how I started
I don't know where to end.

On one side are the angels
All white, innocent, and pure
With my God almighty
Standing so confident and sure.

The other side is dreary
Bloodstained with only sin
A field engulfed with flames
Constant, it has no end.

So hard to follow the straitened path
It's easy to go astray
So every night before I sleep
To heaven my soul I pray.

What if all I'm striving for
Is just a big deception
If everything that I believe
Is my own conception

I know what I believe
I don't know what to reject
In what way in my life
Will my choices effect.

We all have our own image
But no ones really sure
If they should try to be their self
Or what's blessed and pure.

Different types of religions,
lifestyle, and sexuality
I guess for right now
I'm just going to be me.
